Our award-winning work in sustainable production, environmental outreach, and education centered on ecosystem conservation, experimental archaeology, and agroecology ensures you are in a genuine ecotourism and cultural haven. We lovingly safeguard the extraordinary flora and fauna of one of the Serranía de Ronda’s most iconic landscapes, rooted in scientific rigor and hands-on, participatory learning to share our heritage and culture.

FOR ORNITHOLOGY AND PHOTOGRAPHY PROFESSIONALS

Algaba Bird Hide

Finca Algaba is an exceptional setting to observe and photograph some of the most iconic bird species of the southern Iberian Peninsula.

Due to its proximity to the Strait of Gibraltar—along one of the natural migratory flyways to and from the African continent—countless birds inhabit the Mediterranean woodland that blankets the estate across every season. This makes it a true ornithological sanctuary for spring and autumn migrations, breeding season, or wintering.

The Hide is a 5.2 x 2.1 m shelter fitted with one-way mirrored glass, comfortably accommodating up to 4 photographers. Inside, you will find a toilet and washbasin. The setting combines a nearby drinking/feeding pool for local woodland birds (approx. 5m) and, slightly further away (approx. 20m), perches and a raptor feeding station—all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Sierra de Grazalema.

We keep an ongoing log of bird sightings to provide real, up-to-date information on sighting probabilities.
