Nestled within 50 hectares of Mediterranean woodland, Algaba de Ronda allows us to gaze upon splendid specimens of holm oaks, Portuguese oaks, cork oaks, and a rich biodiversity overall: wild olives, mastic trees, hawthorns, brooms, rockroses, wild rosebushes, rosemary, thyme, and gorse… which shelter a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians. What is more, the estate is strategically located for birdwatching during migrations, on their journey to and from the African continent.
Algaba de Ronda, as an Environmental Education Centre, offers the joy of living unique cultural experiences rooted in geology, ethnography, botany, and agroecology, among other scientific perspectives. Not to mention the chance to relish the fullness, serenity, and vitality that the Mediterranean forest brings us, and to appreciate it for its extraordinary educational value.
