Nestled among the mountains at the crossroads of Sierra de las Nieves National Park, Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, and Los Alcornocales Natural Park, Algaba de Ronda offers a unique natural haven for an enriching, hands-on experience beyond the classroom.
To this end, we have crafted a journey that invites every participant to immerse themselves in the raw beauty of the Serranía de Ronda along a gentle stroll through our Mediterranean woodland. Wandering the forest paths alongside our knowledgeable guides, we will unveil the quiet secrets of the natural world, marveling at the wisdom and wonder of the flora and fauna that thrive in this extraordinary ecosystem—where we, too, play a vital part in caring for and protecting the land.
How do you identify different trees?

These and many other questions will be answered throughout the activity, with our guides always tailoring the experience to the students' level.
To complement the trail walk and delve deeper into nature, we offer workshops rooted in playful learning and creativity. Identifying animal tracks and discovering cork oaks, gall oaks, holm oaks, wild olives, broom, rockrose, wild rose, rosemary, and gorse are just a few of the activities we share in our workshops.

Land Art Workshop
Inspired by nature, this activity aims to provide participants with the skills needed to identify plant remains produced by the forest (fallen leaves, pieces of wood, bark, etc.) and create ephemeral yet precious outdoor sculptures and works of art. It is a technique used to raise awareness about human impact on the natural environment.
Environmental Scavenger Hunt Workshop
An orienteering scavenger hunt through the Mediterranean forest, featuring knowledge tests about emblematic species like Quercus oaks, cooperative and active challenges, and fun games—adapted to each group's level, with environmental education at the heart of every trial.
Health & Wellbeing Workshop
Nurturing activities for both body and mind, helping you unwind, embrace the present moment, and cultivate wholesome everyday habits: mindful nature walks, physio-yoga, mindfulness, laughter therapy, meditation, as well as wholesome nutrition and holistic wellbeing.
Traditional Crafts Workshop
For centuries, the rural world has developed artisanal crafts capable of meeting fundamental daily needs using local resources, creating beautiful items cherished for their usefulness—such as woven hampers, baskets, woollen blankets, ceramic vessels, soaps, and botanical essences. These sustainable creations have minimal to no environmental impact and shape our identity as part of a living heritage that is now on the verge of disappearing. This workshop seeks to keep this ancestral knowledge alive, introducing you to traditional crafting techniques, the qualities of raw natural materials, and the joy of creating by hand.
Agroecology and Livestock Workshop
In this workshop, we explore organic and zero-kilometer food production in greater depth. We will also learn about the morphology, breeding, and care of endangered native Andalusian livestock breeds living freely on our estate. We will observe the animals in their natural habitat and discover how essential resources such as milk, eggs, wool, and meat—which have sustained human life since ancient times—are obtained.
Fossils & Geodiversity Workshop
This workshop introduces us to the fascinating world of rocks in the Serranía de Ronda Geology Interpretation Area through identification keys and simple experiments. It is an engaging introduction to the wonderful realm of stones that helps us understand the geography of the land.
